On Monday, April 7th, we went to Calais by bus to take the ferry at 7:30 AM. When we arrived in Dover, we took another bus to Hastings. When we got there, we visited the city. After the visit, we had lunch and some free time.

Then, we went to the seaside to start the Seven Sisters hike. We walked about 7 miles. After the hike, we went to Plumstead to meet our host families.

The weather was very nice , we were so lucky !

After a long bus ride, we’re finally boarding — next stop : England !
We took the ferry from Calais to Dover. We arrived at the port around 7:30 a.m. (French hours). The ferry trip lasted two hours. On board, we had breakfast English or French style, as we wanted.
Then, we had a walk near to the beach. The weather was sunny but the wind was kind of cold. We have visited Hastings and enjoyed the view from the top of the hill. We had some free time to eat and relax.
In the afternoon, we went hiking on the Seven Sisters. We were exhausted but we only done 7 kilometers ! The landscapes were wonderful and idylic , with big hills to climb and go down. It took about 2 to 2.5 hours. In the evening, we met our host families.
We were a bit stressed and excited. Most of us were happy and curious. It was the beginning of a new experience !
